My philosophy is simple. I believe in taking time to warm and prepare the tissues before working deep and then working deep when appropriate. Massage should not be painful during or after the session (with the exception of moderate discomfort during trigger point release). I have found that therapeutic massage is a wonderful way to touch people with purpose and hopefully help improve the quality of life.
I have been working in the water with post-rehabilitation and aquatic personal training for about 10 years. I started adding massage techniques to the end of each session to provide relaxation and stress relief. It is an amazing experience in that the temperature of the water starts to relax and release the muscles in about 3 to 5 minutes so that I can work deep without the pain.
I am a firm believer in exercise and managing soreness with massage and stretching. I am an avid swimmer. I am a member of Air Capitol Masters and I am still competing 3-4 times per year. Wichita is my family home. My parents still enjoy life in this lovely city and I am pleased to be here.
